2009 Fall ITBS (Iowa Test of Basic Skills) Administration Results [8th grades]

FSA ranked 1st in Reading, Math, Languages Arts, Social Studies and Science among all Fulton County Middle Schools in 2009 Fall ITBS.

FSA versus Fulton County Averages are as follows:
Reading: 80/56%, Math: 83/58%, Language Arts: 79/60%, Social Studies: 80/58%, Science 81/63%.
All national averages are 50%.

2009 Spring CRCT (Criterion Referenced Competency Test) [6th, 7th and 8th grades]
The percentages of students who received results of 800 and above (meets or exceeds the expectations) are as follows:
6th Grade - Reading 99%, English 99%, Math 96%, Social Studies INVALIDATED, and Science 95%
7th Grade - Reading 99%, English 97%, Math 97%, Social Studies INVALIDATED, and Science 95%
8th Grade - Reading 100%, English 98%, Math 92%, Social Studies 91%, and Science 92%

2006 MGWA (Middle Grades Writing Assesment) [8th grades]

FSA Mean Scale score is 362- the same as last year. Percent “Not on Target” is 4% which dropped 2% from last year’s “Not on Target” score (6%).
76% of students are “On Target”. This is a 5% increase from last years score (71%).
20% of students are “Exceeding the Target” which was reduced by 3% of the last year score (23%).
Overall 96% of FSA students are “On” and “Exceeding Target” which was increased by 2% of last year score (94%).

2003 Fall ITBS (Iowa Test of Basic Skills) Administration results [8th grades]

Here are our 8th graders' ranks in each subject tested among all Fulton County schools:

First place in Reading (79%)
Second place in Science (76%)
Fifth place in Social Studies (74%)
Sixth place in Math (74%)
Eighth place in Language Arts (68%)

Algebra End of Course Assessment Test Results [Students taking Algebra]

Fulton County uses the ETS (Educational Testing Agency) to measure how students are doing in Algebra in all county schools. Results of the 2002-2003 Algebra End of Course Assessment Test indicate that overall success of FSA students is 96% versus 52% Fulton County schools.

2003 Spring CRCT (Criterion Referenced Competency Test) [6th and 8th grades]

The percentages of students who received results of 300 and above (meets or exceeds the expectations) are as follows:
6th Grade - Reading 96%, English 91%, and Math 89%
8th Grade - Reading 89%, English 84%, and Math 84%

2003 Spring MGWA (Middle Grades Writing Assesment) [8th grades]

There are no students under "Not on Target" category. 76% of the students are under "On Target" category and 24 students are under "Exceeds Target" category. The FSA Mean Scaled Score (MSS) is 365. County MSS is 364, Metro Atlanta MSS is 362, and State MSS is 361.
