orlando_sm.jpgFSA Seventh graders went to ORLANDO, FL on May 9th 2008. 2 comfortable buses took 56 students and 10 chaperones plus 2 tour organizers to different Disney parks.

The field trip was packed with intense excitement, fun and learning. The first day was spent at Magic Kingdom and was a big blast.

The Buzz Lightyear ride in darkness was full of surprises and shocking experiences. Different characters reminded everyone of fun childhood memories.

The second day of the trip was spent in EPCOT Center for 13 hours! Students rode the timeline of humanity ride, experienced G force on the Mars mission ride, watched the Energy presentation hosted by Ellen, flew over a virtual Golden State Bridge, played future games with each other, worked on mission control to fix space craft with the help space team in a state of art technology environment. Some other students simulated astronauts in a rescue mission in Mars. Lunch was at different reenacted country zones where students felt like they were in the midst of that country.

Test Track sponsored by GM was a blast testing car performances in different environments such as cold, hot, corrosive, with and without ABS in a car at different speeds. 'Honey I Shrunk the Audience' 4D theater was another shocking experience for first time watchers.

Third day was full of Life Science experiences in the Animal Kingdom. Students also experienced being in Indian, Thai, East African cities with their natural environment. Primitive looking Expedition Everest was one of the best rides ever with the highest technology. Students who watched the 4D movie, "It is Tough to Be a Bug" learned alot about different bugs but screamed when they are tickled by so called bugs in their seats. "Tree of Life" was great with aweome river and tree views. "Safari in Klimanjaro" experience was a great way to observe animal behaviors.

Students had a good time on the busses that have extra spaces on the way back. Girls chose talking whereas guys watched movies nonstop. Thank you for all parent and teacher chaperones and Mrs. Emerson, from Georgia Tours and Beyond, for this awesome Orlando trip.

On their arrival back at FSA, Mother's Day was remembered when students gave their parent a rose.
