Fondant Modeling: Change Candy into Art: Join Sari McIntyre as she teaches you to hand mold sugar paste (fondant) into rabbits, monkeys, or any other critters you can imagine! Then eat them up or let them dry as keepsakes. Monday June 9, 6:30 p.m.-8:00 p.m. Mummy Wrap: Change History: Make mummies come ALIVE with the Michael C. Carlos Museum at Emory. Explore the history and process of mummification. Then become an “artist of the temple” and prepare one of your friends for burial! Thursday June 12, 2:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. Storyboarding/Shot Composition: Change Ideas: Wanna make a movie? Susan Grigsby shows you how to make your film ideas a reality with this great workshop on storyboarding and putting together the perfect shot! Thursday June 19, 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. Threads of Life: Change How You Learn: Explore a variety of textiles produced in the Andes including a khipu, a system of colored cords and knots used by the Inka empire to record everything from census data to history and poetry. Create your own khipu to record information about yourself and your family. Thursday July 10, 2:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. College Prep Workshops: Change Your Life: The Education Path presents these two very informative workshops on preparing for college. Topics covered will include various types of financial aid, private scholarships, FAFSA, AP classes and more! Mondays July 14 & 21, 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. North Fulton Drama Club: Change How You Act: The North Fulton Drama Club, a local community theatre company, presents two fun and engaging drama workshops! Nurture your budding acting ability or learn how to write and direct a skit! Thursdays July 17 & 24, 2:00 p.m.– 4:00 p.m. Chocolate Mice & Cookie Bouquets: Change How You See Food: Sari McIntyre returns to show you how to create beautiful cookie bouquets. Compliment your bouquet with some chocolate mice and take home a beautiful and tasty treasure! Thursday July 31, 2:30 p.m. –4:00 p.m. Register for programs by phone or email! Each tally sheet contains 8 Beetle Books. OR Cross off ONE Beetle Book on your tally sheet for every TWO programs you attend at the Roswell Library. For every tally sheet you turn in at the Roswell Library, your name will be entered in the grand prize drawing to win an iPod Shuffle that holds up to 500 songs! Also, every time you turn in a tally sheet, you will receive a coupon for a FREE Chick-Fil-A sandwich. You may fill out and complete AS MANY tally sheets as you wish.
