The Fulton Science Academy team contributed significantly to the Rivers Alive litter clean-up! On Saturday Sept 27, we gathered at 9am to begin clean-up of 2 sections of The Big Creek Greenway walking trail in the North Point Mall area. We picked up an incredible volume trash. Among the most amazing items were: a large microwave, garage door opener, 4 tires, 2 car batteries, 1 rotor, rebar, paint cans, insulating material, and lots of plastic litter. We also found a very large heavy metal item shaped like a small "e" around 200+ lbs and was about 9' in diameter. We picked up so much litter, that we had to request a special trash pick up by the City of Alpharetta!
The Sadowski family, Karen and David Purcell, Mrs. Hill's family, The Condon family, Shalini and Saurabh Sharma, Axel Martinez, MacKenzie MacGruer, Kelly Dodd, Sam Teegardin, Morgan Kearney, Raja Selvakumar, Blake Washburn - Thank you all for participating in Rivers Alive and contributing greatly to the clean-up of our community. Good work and many thanks to everyone!
