FSA Helps Clear Trash at Big Creek

riversalive.jpgThe Fulton Science Academy team contributed significantly to the Rivers Alive litter clean-up!  On Saturday Sept 27, we gathered at 9am to begin clean-up of 2 sections of The Big Creek Greenway walking trail in the North Point Mall area.    We picked up an incredible volume trash. Among the most amazing items were: a large microwave, garage door opener, 4 tires, 2 car batteries, 1 rotor, rebar, paint cans, insulating material, and lots of plastic litter.   We also found a very large heavy metal item shaped like a small "e" around 200+ lbs and was about 9' in diameter.  We picked up so much litter, that we had to request a special trash pick up by the City of Alpharetta!
