I hope you are having a great summer holiday. Please read the summer newsletter in detail. It has lots of valuable information for 2008-2009 school year. I would like to remind everyone about a few important items before our first day of school:
The earliest a student can be dropped off is 8:00 am. If a student is dropped off before 8:00 am, FSA does not assume any responsibility. Classes start at 8:30 am. If you arrive after 8:30 am, both the parent and student need to come into the front office to sign your student in. Classes end at 3:46 pm. Carpool line begins forming at around 3:15 pm. However, we would encourage parents to arrive at FSA Campus around 4:00pm. Please drop off and pick up your student only at the area in front of the flag pole. Please encourage your student to keep quiet at dismissal time so they will hear their name being called. To make carpool go as efficiently as possible, please discuss with your student before they leave for school, who will be picking them up in the afternoon. Review with your child who is in their carpool as well as their vehicle descriptions. Encourage your child to look out for his/her own ride at dismissal time. Make sure your child’s lunch arrangement is complete. Lunch forms are available on our website and forms and payments can be handed into homeroom teachers on the first day of school. If you arrive after carpool is over to pick up your student, please park at designated parking space, then come into the Media Center to sign your student out. Make sure your student arrives at FSA in his/her full uniform. The student handbook (agenda) specifies the uniform requirements. The FSA Campus will be open on Saturday, August 9, 2008 between 9:00 am and 12:00 pm for locker organization. Phone calls to home during the school day are allowed for emergencies only. Clubs and after school activities begin on August 25th. There will be no clubs and team teaching during first two weeks and we will have non-team teaching bell schedule (Please see student agenda) for the first two weeks. Thanks for paying attention to these important details. We are looking forward to seeing everyone during FSA Orientation Day on Wednesday, August 6, 2008. Have a great school year.
