State Superintendent of Schools’ Letter to Fulton Science Academy

Dear Principal,

It is my honor to recognize your school as part of the Superintendent's Distinguished Achievement Awards program.

These awards are designed to honor schools that have scored at the highest level or made the greatest improvement in performance on our state curriculum exams - the Criterion-Referenced Competency Tests, the End of Course Test, the Georgia High School Graduation Tests and state writing assessments. Schools are being awarded in all core academic areas across several grades. There are two categories of awards:

- Achievement: The 10 schools with the highest percentage of students in the exceeds score level

- Improvement: The 10 schools with the greatest gains in the percentage of students in the meets and exceeds scoring levels.

The certificates given to award-winning schools -such as yours - are a small token of our appreciation for the hard work being done by you, your staff and your students.
