Principal's Corner

Dear Students & Parents,

We have had a great start to the 2010-2011 school year. There are currently 191 students in 6th grade, 170 students in 7th grade and 147 students in 8th grade. We have 508 students in total.

FSA Connect

FSAConnect, where you can find academic progress, daily homework, class documents, attendance, discipline, and other important information online will be ready to use on Monday, August 30, 2010. We will send you your username and password on Monday.

Carpool Dismissal

I would like to thank all students, teachers and parents for their great job with dismissal this week. The first day of school, carpool ended at 4:25PM and today it ended at 4:14PM so we're making progress. As soon as after-school clubs start on September 7th, carpool will be much quicker since students will be dismissed at different times. Once again, thank you for your cooperation on this important matter.

PVO Welcome Coffee
PVO will sponsor a Welcome Coffee on Tuesday, September 7th at 8:45am for all new parents. Please join us in the cafeteria.

Lost & Found
Students should put their names in permanent marker on all their belongings at school so that they can claim their items at the lost and found booth located just outside the cafeteria.

I wish everyone a wonderful weekend.

Bus Lottery Information

busBus transportation is provided for students living in areas designated by the Fulton County Transportation Department.  If the total number of students desiring bus transportation exceeds the number of available seats, a bus lottery will be held. Fulton County will send the available seat numbers in early September and then we will be able to hold the lottery.

Those students chosen in the bus lottery will be eligible for bus transportation on a temporary basis for this year only. FSA personnel will notify FCBOE personnel and a temporary bus pass will be issued for that student with the understanding that if a student moves into the transportation ZONE the last temporary pass issued will be withdrawn.

1.   ADDING YOUR NAME TO THE BUS LOTTERY
Parents of FSA students living outside the transportation ZONE and wishing to be a part of the BUS LOTTERY need to submit an e-mail indicating their desire to have their child be a part of the bus lottery.   Please title the e-mail “Bus Lottery” and send it to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .  Include in the e-mail your child’s name, grade, and bus stop number you prefer.  A list of students living outside the transportation ZONE and desiring bus service will be compiled from the e-mails submitted.  All e-mails need to be received by September 3rd , 2010 by 5:00 PM.  If you have already signed your name on the ‘Bus Waiting List’ in the Front Office, your name will be included in the bus lottery.
