This is the last newsletter before thanksgiving holiday. There will no school on November 26 through 28.  I wish everyone a happy thanksgiving holiday.

 
Sign Up for FSA Parent/Teacher Soccer Tournament

We are proud to announce our first FSA Parent/Teacher Soccer Tournament. Proceeds will be used to help build an outside classroom at FSA. Justin Kriske, an FSA graduate, is heading up this project as part of his Eagle Scout Leadership Service Project.

Scholastic Book Fair Going On Now!

FSA 8th Grader Performs at Carnegie Hall

erika_west1.jpgErika West appeared at Carnegie Hall in New York City on Saturday, November 7th, 2008.  Erika preformed a solo from the Broadway show "Thoroughly Modern Millie".  She also sang various Broadway hits with others from The Atlanta School of Preforming Arts.  Congratulations to Erika on her NYC début!!

 
Chess Students Camp in Helen, GA

chess_at_helen_sm.jpgFSA Chess Students went to Helen, GA for a camp on November 15th and 16th.  It was an enormous opportunity for the students to get together as a team and work on their upcoming chess competitions. 16 students enjoyed this awesome field trip and looking forward for the next one.   Go Chess Team!!!!!!!!

 
FSA Science Fair 11/25

science_fair.jpgFSA science fair will be held on Tuesday, November 25th in the gym. All parents are welcome to visit the amazing student projects between 11:30am and 1:30pm.  The two best projects will be eligible to participate in the Fulton County science fair. Good luck to all students!

 
Media Center News/Black History Month

juuy.jpgFSA will hold its first annual Black History Month observance during the month of February. We plan to have dance and drama club teams perform at FSA during that month.There will be a signup sheet in the media center for students that are interested in being apart of this very important event. Thanksgiving Week

We WILL have clubs and after school activities on Monday and Tuesday, November 24th and 25th. FSA will be closed on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, November 26-28, 2008 for the Thanksgiving holiday. Best wishes to all our FSA families for a safe and restful holiday.

 
Flashing Lights on Busses Means STOP

school_bus_top.jpgRED Flashing lights on a school bus means ALL Motorists MUST stop their cars and wait until the red lights stop flashing, the extended stop arm is retracted, and the bus begins moving before they can start driving again.
