Smart Raise is a large rewards program that generates cash back for Fulton Science Academy whenever registered supporters shop at over 300 leading online stores.

 The Fulton County Board really believes strongly in developing strong readers who read for both information and pleasure. We are very happy to inform our community that beginning with the 2008-2009 school year we will offer one more foreign language at FSA. As you know, we already offer Spanish as a foreign language and we will now be adding Turkish as the second foreign language option for our students.

Earlier this month Geometry and Algebra students took the End-Of-Course Tests. The twenty six geometry students and eleven algebra students not only 'passed' the exams, they all 'exceeded' expectations by scoring at least 90%. Congratulations to FSA geometry and algebra students and math department for another successful year! |

6th Grade between 9:30 to 11:30 AM 7th and 8th Grade Orientation - 1:00 to 3:00 PM
There will be a 6th Grade presentation for students and parents at 10:15 AM in the cafeteria. |

This summer FSA students can maintain their math skills by working on the attached Summer Practice Packets. These packets are derived from the GA DOE CRCT study guides.

We are very happy to inform our community that thanks to our 8th grade parent, Ms. Kathy Starr, and Representative Jan Jones, FSA has been awarded with $20.000 grant for our SMART Board campaign from Local Assistance Grants allocated by the Legislature in its 2009 budget. This means we will have SMART Boards in all of our classrooms next year.

Governor Perdue declared May 5-9 “Charter Schools Week” in Georgia through a proclamation. In the Governor’s proclamation, FSA and several other charter schools are highlighted as exemplary charter public schools in the state of Georgia. Congratulations to our students, parents and staff members for continued success as a quality school of choice in our community!

Author Vivian Vande Velde was here at FSA on Monday May 12th speaking to our students about the business of writing. She spoke to the children in 4 groups, one of 8th graders and one of 7th graders. The 6th graders were split into two seperate groups as they are the largest class.
