Congratulations to FSA Tech Fair Team State Champions!

FSA Model UN Team received “Honorable Mention” in our first year of attendance in the State odel UN.

Doran Erickson won 1st place in the club level competition of the 2008 Optimist Club Oratorical Competition.
Doran delivered the winning speech on the topic “Why Me Why Not?” and won a $1,000 savings bond from the Roswell Optimist Club.

2008 Fulton County Regional Science Fair

Great News from 2008 Arbor Day T-shirt Drawing Contest

1st Place in Regional Science Olympiad – 5th Year in a Row.

Great Results in 2008 Fulton County Tech Fair – 8 1st places, 6 2nd places and 3 3rd places.

FSA Math Counts team came in 4th in the district and Nairita Nandy is one of 8 individual students who are qualified to represent
Fulton-Dekalb region in State on March 15. Congratulations to Nairita, Math Counts Coach Mr. Tekten and Math Department Head Mrs. Higgins.

FSA Chess Team Ranked 2nd Place in Western Region.

FSA students were awarded for their achievements in the “Respect for Human Dignity Art & Essay Contest”.
The competition was sponsored by the Istanbul Center and the awards dinner was held in downtown Atlanta at the Twin Towers Building.

Kelly Dodd won 1st Place in 2008 Fulton County Spelling Bee.

FSA Science Olympiad Team competed in JC Booth Middle School Invitational Science Olympiad Tournament.
FSA ranked number 2 among 21 schools with 32 teams. State Superintendent Kathy Cox gave the awards and congratulated our team.

FSA Future City Design Team won 2008 Best Futuristic City Award in State.

Mr. Alper Tekten, FSA 6th grade math teacher won the 2007 AMC 8 Edyth May Sliffe Teacher Award.

FSA Ranked 1ST in Math, Science, Reading, and Social Studies Among all Fulton County Middle Schools in 2007 Fall ITBS.

2007 Silver Award from Governor’s Office of Student Achievement for Highest Percentage in Meeting and Exceeding Standards.

2007 Platinum Award from Governor’s Office of Student Achievement for Greatest gain in Meeting and Exceeding Standards.

Governor Sonny Purdue's letter to FSA regarding the dual award we received from the Governor's Office of Student Achievement this year.


Raja has been awarded the American Youth Scholar Award and a cash grant of $1500 from The United States Achievement Academy.

Hannah Friedman is the winner of the 2007 International Student Media Festival in the category of animation.
